BSF jawans arrest Pakistani smuggler in Punjab's Ferozepur
Border Security Force (BSF) jawans arrested a Pakistani smuggler near the Satpal border outpost (BOP) in Ferozepur sector, Punjab, on Thursday morning. However, his two accomplices managed to flee. The Pakistani smuggler was nabbed by the BSF jawans after he got injured in the firing opened by jawans to thwart smuggling attempt. BSF jawans of 136 Battalion, who are deputed near the Satpal border outpost in Ferozepur, Punjab, observed suspicious movement involving three Pakistani intruders. They were trying to sneak into the Indian territory around 2.30 am. The BSF jawans started firing at them. While one of the intruders was injured, two others managed to flee. As per information available, the two Pakistani nationals, who had fled, returned looking for their injured accomplice. However, BSF jawans opened fire on them.
