BSF jurisdiction: All parties, except BJP, to pass resolution against Centre's decision
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday said all parties had unanimously passed a resolution that the notification allowing enhanced jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) be rolled back by the Centre.

The parties decided that if the Centre refused to roll back the decision, a session of the Vidhan Sabha be called over this.
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, who chaired over the meeting, said all parties, except the BJP, attended the meeting. The parties decided to pass a resolution against the Centre's decision to increase the jurisdiction of the BSF.Political parties will hold agitations against the extension of BSF jurisdiction in Punjab. Punjab CM Channi said, "All parties have also decided that if the Centre not paid heed towards this, the Vidhan Sabha session will be called in the coming days."
Another resolution regarding the total repeal of the three farm laws was also passed unanimously by all parties. Channi said after taking permission from the Governor, the Vidhan Sabha session will be called within 10-15 days.
