Chandigarh reports one more death due to coronavirus; toll rises to 6
Chandigarh on Monday reported a new death taking the death toll in the Union Territory to 6. Likewise, the city reported a new case of COVID-19 taking the case tally to 353.
According to the information, a 60-year-old man who is a resident of the Bou Dham colony in Sector-26 succumbed to the pandemic. Likewise, the new case reported from the city on Monday belongs to the Bapu Dham colony.
Meanwhile, the total number of active cases in the Union Territory has gone up to 53.
On Monday, residents of the Bapu Dham Colony(those residing in containment pocket) threw garbage on road, removed barricades on their own. The residents are demanding to lift containment zone restrictions.
Earlier on Sunday, 16 new cases were reported from Mohali while 10 new cases were reported from Panchkula. In Mohali, the total number of cases has increased to 176 out of which 56 are the active cases and 117 have been cured and discharged. Mohali has reported 3 deaths so far.

Mohali Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh has also warned the residents of the district and said that the threat of Coronavirus was still here and that the people need to be more vigilant.
