Chandigarh reports 2 new cases of coronavirus but not from Bapu Dham colony

The total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh has increased to 315 after the Union Territory reported two new positive cases on Sunday. According to the information, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, who was posted at the Punjab Civil Secretariat, has tested positive for the novel virus. He is a resident of Dariya. Likewise, a new case was reported from Modern Housing Complex (MHC) in Manimajra where a 45-year-old man was tested positive for coronavirus.Currently, Chandigarh is having 37 active cases while a total of 275 patients have been cured and discharged. Meanwhile, the death toll in the Union Territory remains to stand at 5.

Four new cases from Bapu Dham colony

Four new cases of coronavirus were reported from Bapu Dham colony in Sector 26. A 33-year-old man from Bapu Dham Colony, his 30-year-old wife and a 5-year-old son were infected with the virus. Likewise, a 40-year-old man admitted to the GMSH-16 also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. 5 new corona positive cases were reported in Panchkula

5 more infected in Panchkula

Panchkula reported five new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the total number of cases in the district to 33. Civil Surgeon Jasjeet Kaur stated that four of them were from a family in Pinjore who had recently arrived from Mumbai. Another one is a woman from Kalka who tested positive for the virus. Reportedly, she had returned from Kolkata. -PTC News
