Coronavirus positive cases in India rise to 74,821; death toll 2,415

The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in India has climbed to 74,821 after 3,525 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday morning. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll stands at 2,415 after 122 new deaths were reported from the country in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry was quoted by news agency ANI as saying: "Spike of 3,525 COVID-19 cases and 122 deaths in the last 24 hours; total positive cases in the country are now at 74,281, including 47,480 active cases, 24,386 cured and discharged cases and 2,415 deaths." Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced that the lockdown 4 will be announced before May 18, adding that it will be having unique measures to combat coronavirus.
