Punjab tally has increased to 41 after fresh cases of coronavirus were reported on Monday. Meanwhile, the death toll in Punjab has risen to 3 after a 42-year-old woman died in Ludhiana due to coronavirus on Monday. She has been identified as Pooja Rani. She was admitted to Rajendra Hospital in Ludhiana. Shockingly, a 65-year-old man, a resident of Mohali, has tested positive for coronavirus, who did not have any travel history. publive-image Therefore, his allies are being traced to find out from whom he got contracted. Of 41 cases, one patient has recovered so far while a total of three people has died. Earlier this month, a man in Nawanshahr, Baldev Singh, died due to heart attack and later tested positive for coronavirus.

Punjab Curfew Extended

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday ordered the sealing of the state’s borders while announcing the extension of the curfew till April 14. The Chief Minister also promised special insurance for Punjab Police personnel and sanitation workers engaged in the coronavirus battle, on the lines of the scheme announced by the Government of India for frontline health workers, if the Centre does not concede the state’s demand for these covers.
