Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 6907; death toll 178; recovered 4828

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 6,907 after 158 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 178 after 3 new deaths were reported from the state. One new death was reported each from Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 11 new cases of coronavirus while 12 new cases were reported from Ludhiana. Jalandhar reported 72 new cases while Sangrur reported 5 new cases. Patiala reported 4 new cases, Gurdaspur and Ferozepur reported 9 each, 17 from Faridkot and 6 from Muktsar. Patiala has reported 444 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 325 cases of COVID-19. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 175, Muktsar at 140, Fatehgarh Sahib at 131, Moga at 134, Ropar at 118, Faridkot at 146, Kapurthala at 121, Ferozepur at 131, Bathinda at 122 and Fazilka at 102.
