With 56 new COVID fatalities, Punjab's death toll rises to 1404

Punjab Coronavirus Update: The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 52,526 after 1689 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state on Sunday. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Sunday evening, the death toll due to COVID-19 in the state has increased to 1404 after 56 new deaths were reported in the state.

Among the new deaths, Amritsar reported 3 new deaths, Bathinda 4, Faridkot 1, Fatehgarh Sahib 2, Ferozepur 1, Hoshiarpur 2, Jalandhar 7, Kapurthala 4, Ludhiana 15, Moga 1, SAS Nagar 1, Muktsar 1, Pathankot 1, Patiala 8, and Sangrur 5.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 35,747 after 1,656 COVID patients were declared cured and recovered in the state on Sunday evening.

Of new cases, Ludhiana reported 350 new recoveries, Jalandhar reported 297, Patiala 206, Amritsar 78, SAS Nagar 104, Sangrur 66, Gurdaspur 35, Ferozepur 167, Moga 105, Hoshiarpur 42, Pathankot 26, Barnala 49, Fatehgarh Sahib 8, Kapurthala 19, Faridkot 9, Tarn Taran 18, Ropar 35, Fazilka 2, SBS Nagar 13, Muktsar 26, and Mansa 1.

Of new COVID cases, Ludhiana reported 273, Jalandhar reported 150, Patiala 188, Amritsar 111, SAS Nagar 148, Sangrur 58, Bathinda 60, Gurdaspur 136, Ferozepur 57, Moga 38, Hoshiarpur 44, Pathankot 55, Barnala 34, Fatehgarh Sahib 10, Kapurthala 65, Faridkot 74, Tarn Taran 6, Ropar 33, Fazilka 68, SBS Nagar 10, Muktsar 56, and Mansa 15.
