Punjab police arrest two operatives linked to ISI-backed terror network from Mumbai

PTC News Desk: Punjab Police have arrested two accused, Sajan Masih and Manish Bedi, who are linked to Pakistan-backed ISI network, from Mumbai. Manish Bedi is a resident of Amritsar, while Sajan Masih hails from Pathankot.

According to DGP Gaurav Yadav, both accused were earlier active in Dubai and later shifted to Armenia. After that, they kept changing locations across several countries to evade security agencies. Acting on credible intelligence inputs, a special operation was carried out with the help of central agencies, leading to their arrest in Mumbai.

Investigations have revealed that the accused were in touch with Pakistan-based ISI handler Harvinder Rinda and US-based Happy Passia, and were involved in arms supply, murder, and other serious crimes. The DGP said that these arrests have sent a strong message to the criminals operating from abroad that those who attempt to evade the law will not be spared under any circumstances.

Preparations are also underway to take action against their third associate, notorious gangster Shamsher Shera, who is allegedly running criminal operations from Armenia. Security agencies are closely monitoring his activities, and a major crackdown is expected soon.
