With 1,527 new cases, Punjab's COVID tally rises to 58,515

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 58,515 after 1,527 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state on Thursday. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Thursday, the death toll in the state has increased to 1,690 after 73 new COVID deaths were reported. Among new deaths, Amritsar reported 4 new fatalities, Bathinda reported 1, Faridkot 2, Fatehgarh Sahib 2, Fazilka 1, Ferozepur 5, Gurdaspur 2, Hoshiarpur 2, Jalandhar 7, Kapurthala 10, Ludhiana 18, SAS Nagar 1, Moga 5, Muktsar 1, SBS Nagar 1, Patiala 5, Ropar 3, Sangrur 2, and Tarn Taran 1. A total of 1529 COVID patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 41,271. Of new recoveries, Ludhiana reported 141 recoveries, Jalandhar 244, Patiala 90, Amritsar 52, SAS Nagar 84, Sangrur 66, Gurdaspur 68, Ferozepur 32, Moga 142, Hoshiarpur 69, Pathankot 43, Barnala 48, Fatehgarh Sahib 42, Kapurthala 93, Faridkot 84, Tarn Taran 13, Ropar 77, Fazilka 42, SBS Nagar 17, Muktsar 33, and Mansa 49.
