Punjab postpones deadline for submitting applications for new recruitment

Punjab Chief Secretary on Tuesday stated that the recruitment by all the departments, Public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, universities, Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Subordinate Services Selection Board (SSSB) Punjab under the State Government, the due date for receipt of applications should be postponed to April 30, or later.

Punjab curfew extended

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday announced the extension of the curfew till April 14. Also, he asked to seal the borders in an order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, Captain Amarinder Singh asked the Finance Minister to come out with a plan, to overcome the coronavirus crisis. Also, he directed that all the restrictions should be strictly enforced until April 14, after which the state will decide in line with the Government of India’s further decision. PSEB Exams for Classes 8, 10 and 12 postponed

Punjab Education Minister on Monday declared that the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) exams for classes 8th, 10th and 12th have been postponed until further notice. "No plan to extend lockdown"

The government on Monday made it clear that there was no plan to extend the 21-day lockdown, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to combat the spread of coronavirus.
