Coronavirus update: Punjab reports 2,803 new Covid-19 cases, 22 deaths
Chandigarh, January 31: Punjab on Sunday reported 2,803 fresh cases of Covid-19 taking its infection tally to 7,41,185, while 22 more deaths due to coronavirus were reported taking the death toll to 17,214, according to a medical bulletin.
Among new coronavirus cases of Punjab, Mohali reported 412 fresh cases, followed by 404 in Ludhiana and 351 in Jalandhar, the bulletin stated.

The latest Covid-19 deaths in Punjab were reported from Amritsar, Bathinda, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, and Ludhiana, among other districts.
As of now, Punjab has a total of 26,791 active cases while 1,082 patients are on oxygen support, and 96 critical patients on ventilator support, the bulletin said.
As many as 5,433 more patients were recovered from the infection, taking the total number of recoveries to 6,97,180.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh's coronavirus tally has increased to 89,144 with 441 fresh cases, while the death toll has reached 1,118 with three new fatalities reported, according to the bulletin.
The number of active cases in the city stands at 3,452. As of now, over 84,574 people have recovered from the infection.
