Covid-19: India logs 6915 fresh cases, positivity rate at 0.77%
New Delhi, March 1: India has reported 6,915 new Covid-19 cases and 180 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the health ministry on Tuesday.
With the newly added cases, India's active caseload stands at 92,472. As many as 16,894 patients are recovering from the virus and the recovery rate stands at 98.59 percent.
The daily Covid positivity rate stands at 0.77 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is at 1.11 per cent, as per the government's update.
Over 9.01 lakh Covid tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry also stated that the country's testing capacity is still being expanded. In total, India has conducted around 76.83 Cr (76,83,82,993) tests.
Meanwhile, India has administered 177.70 crore vaccine doses under the Nationwide Vaccination drive, so far.
With the administration of over 18 lakh (18,22,513 to be exact) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded the 177.70 Cr mark.
According to the ministry's update, this was accomplished through 2,046,1239 sessions. Meanwhile, 1,041,01,609 health care workers (HLWs) have received the first dosage, 99,67,857 received the second vaccine dose, and 41,81,766 obtained precautionary doses.
Over 1.84 cr frontline workers have been administered the first dose, 1,74,43,514 with the second dose and 62,37,068 with the precaution Covid doses.
Also, 5,48,91,370 first vaccine shots and 2,79,76,062 second were administered in 15-18 years age group.
