CWC 2022: Virat Kohli, Tendulkar extends best wishes to India’s women cricket team

Commonwealth Games 2022: Ahead of Commonwealth Games 2022, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar extended best wishes to women’s cricket team.

India will lock horn with reigning ICC Women’s T20 World Cup champions Australia in Group A to kick off their Commonwealth Games journey.

Meanwhile, Kohli also wishes all other Indian athletes who are featuring in the Commonwealth Games.

Taking to the Koo app, Virat Kohli said that, "My best wishes to the Indian women's cricket team and all our athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games.”

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar also extended his good wishes to the women’s team.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sachin Tendulkar wrote, "Wonderful to see cricket back in the Commonwealth Games. Hope this takes our beautiful game to newer audiences. Best wishes to @BCCIWomen's team for their #CWG22 campaign.” indianwoman4

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah also showed confidence in the team and said their grit and resilience will resonate in their performance.

India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur being excited about the women's cricket being a part of Games in Birmingham.

Therefore, in a virtual press conference before departing to Birmingham, Harmanpreet said, "As a cricketer, we always want to play more cricket and matches. Whenever you go to a big event, it is important for you to perform well."
