Delhi: Man, his children die after jumping off 7th floor as massive fire engulfs Dwarka's Shabad apartments
PTC News Desk: At least three people including two children were killed after they jumped off seventh floor of a multi-storey building after fire engulfed the entire floor. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead. Later, their father, Yash Yadav, too jumped off the balcony and was declared dead upon arrival at the IGI hospital.
A massive fire broke out in Dwarka's Shabad apartments located in sector 13 in Delhi, fire officials said. The fire was reported in the flat located on the seventh floor of Shabad Apartments in sector-13 near MRV School.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet.
Fire crews are actively engaged at the scene, and officials said they are working to stabilize the situation. They added that police officers, firefighters, and ambulance teams are all present. Officials said that further information will be provided at a later stage.
The entire area was cordoned off and residents were asked to stay clear of the site to allow emergency services to operate efficiently.
