Delhi Traffic Police issue advisory for commuters to avoid these routes; details inside

New Delhi, June 13: The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Monday, stating that the movement in some parts of the national capital will remain affected owing to some special arrangements.


According to the Delhi traffic authorities, traffic movement will be totally on a halt from 7 am to 12 pm in some areas. The advisory has also asked cars and personal vehicles to avoid Motilal Nehru Marg, Akbar Road, Janpath and Man Singh Road. Besides these, commuters have been advised to steer clear of Gol Methi junction, Tughlak Road Junction, Claridges Junction, Q-point Junction, Sunehri Masjid Junction and Maulana Azad Road Junction.

Furthermore, buses are asked to avoid going beyond Gol Dak Khana Junction, Patel Chowk, Windsor Place, Teen Murti Chowk and Prithviraj Road areas.

Officials said traffic on the Mehrauli-Badarpur route was restored a few days ago when authorities cleared the Pul Prahladpur underpass, which had become waterlogged due to heavy rains in the capital. Additional pumps and manpower were used to clear water from the Pul Prahladpur underpass, according to PWD officials.
