Don't allow Congress' Ramanjeet Sikki to file nomination from Khadoor Sahib: Bank of India to EC
As the nomination process for Assembly elections 2022 in Punjab has started, the Bank of India has requested the Election Commission not to allow Congress candidate Ramanjeet Singh Sikki to file a nomination from the Khadoor Sahib constituency.
In a letter issued by the Bank of India, the BOI stated that "Ramanjeet Singh Sikki S/o Sukhdev Singh R/o Lamba Pind Chowk, Kapoor Cold Storage Old Hoshiarpur Road Jalandhar Punjab 144009 having loan KCC Limit AVE our branch Account no. 640632110000003 with O/s amount of Rs. in 6,35,28,476.35/- Uncharged Intt. From 30-09-2020."

"Account has been declared NPA on 07-12-2020 Inspite of regular visits and follows up by the branch officials he has not deposited any amount. Fie has intentionally'& deliberately committed default with Bank by not paying the amount in his loan account. Bank has also filed suit against him in DRT- Chandigarh vide OA no. 2124/2021 for recovery of dues," the letter reads.
"It has come to our Notice that AICC has declared Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Sikki S/o Sukhdev Singh as a candidate from Khadoor Sahib Assembly Constituency," the letter added.
"It is therefore requested for not to allow to file Nomination Papers to Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Sikki S/o Sukhdev Singh in forthcoming Punjab Elections," it concluded.
Punjab Assembly elections 2022 are scheduled to be held on February 20 while the results will be declared on March 10.
