New Delhi, March 14: After a landslide victory in Punjab assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hit the ground in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat which are scheduled to go to poll in November this year. According to sources, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann will soon start campaigning in two poll-bound states. For now, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress are locked in a frontal battle in both Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Buoyed by the resounding success in Surat municipal elections, AAP sees a glimmer of opportunity in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Gujarat turf.

AAP eyes Himachal, Gujarat "As far as Himachal is concerned, it borders Punjab where AAP just swept the Assembly elections. The AAP is hopeful that the wave of Punjab will also reach Himachal Pradesh" said sources. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest all 68 seats in the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh. AAP eyes Himachal, Gujarat Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann will tender his resignation as Lok Sabha MP on Monday, informed sources. Aam Aadmi Party leader, Bhagwant Mann is MP from Sangrur. According to sources, Mann will meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in the Parliament on Monday. In the Punjab assembly elections, the AAP secured a resounding victory, sweeping 92 seats and pushing most of its opponents to the margins. In the 117-member Assembly, Congress won 18 seats. AAP eyes Himachal, Gujarat Mann, who was the party's chief ministerial candidate, will take the oath on March 16. Bhagwant Mann's swearing-in ceremony will take place at the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh's native village Khatkar Kalan.
