Elections 2022: PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah among star campaigners in Punjab
Mohali, Feburary 3: With a few weeks left for assembly elections 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its list of star campaigners for the polls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar , BJP National President JP Nadda, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are among the 30-star campaigners for the party in Punjab. 
Other prominent names include State President Ashwani Sharma, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Sufi Singer Hans Raj Hans, Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur, and Gajendra Singh Shekhwat .
Notably, Punjab Lok Congress president and former chief minister Amarinder Singh on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be coming to Punjab soon to campaign for the PLC-BJP-SAD Sanyukt coalition in the state ahead of polls.

This announcement gains significance in the backdrop of PM Modi's visit to Punjab last month where his Ferozepur event was called off citing a major security lapse.
