Aamir Khan at IFFD 2026: Praises Dhurandhar and reveals about Sitaare Zameen Par OTT release
Aamir Khan had recently graced the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026 with his presence, making the opening week even more exciting. Delhi’s first-ever international film festival had a great grand start, and one of the biggest highlights had been a special screening of his film 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.
Meanwhile, everyone at the film festival can't deny to talk about one of the films which is making headlines nowadays that is Dhurandhar 2. The film had reportedly crossed ₹1000 crore within just one week and had received massive love from fans and celebrities.

When Aamir Khan had been asked about the film during the festival, he had shared his thoughts. He had said, “I had not seen the film yet, but I had heard only praises about it. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2, both films had been appreciated a lot. My best wishes had been given to the entire team.”

Talking about his own film, Aamir had expressed happiness over its screening at the festival. He had said, When director R S Prasanna showed me the original film 'Champions' on which our film is based on, I immediately fell in love with that and wanted to make a film on such concept immediately. It had been a real pleasure that our film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ had been screened at the Delhi Film Festival. It had been the first year of the festival, and we had felt proud. The film had been directed by R. S. Prasanna, and we had been very happy with its message. It had also given us a chance to interact with young audiences.”
Sitaare Zameen Par had been released in June 2025 and had earned more than ₹250 crore at the box office. The film had been praised for its emotional story and strong performances. It had also featured Genelia Deshmukh along with several talented actors.
Now, the film is set to reach a wider audience, as it will be streamed on SonyLIV from April 3.
