PTC Web Desk: In a surprising development, globally celebrated Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh has ended his professional relationship with Sonali Singh, his trusted manager of over a decade. The announcement, made subtly by the singer, has left fans and industry insiders speculating about what may have led to this unexpected separation.

While no official statement has been issued explaining the reason behind the split, a spokesperson from The Hollywood Reporter India described it as a "shock" for many who have closely followed Diljit's career. “They had a fallout—it’s quite clear now that Sonali no longer handles his work or follows him on social media,” the source noted.

Who is Sonali Singh?

Sonali Singh and Diljit's partnership began back in 2016, following her work as a marketing executive on the album 'Bhangra Paa Mittra', where Diljit was one of the featured artists. Despite having limited knowledge of the Punjabi music scene at the time, Sonali Singh proved instrumental in managing and expanding Dosanjh’s brand internationally.

Her academic background includes schooling at New Lancers Convent in New Delhi, a diploma in aviation and hospitality management from Rai Foundation, and a commerce degree from CCS University. Professionally, her career began in 2007 as a business development manager at Asian Business School. Over the years, she transitioned into the entertainment industry and finally took on the role of Diljit’s global brand manager.

Sonali's efforts were recognised on a global scale when she was included in the 2024 Billboard Women of the Year list. During an interview following this honour, she expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Diljit, calling him “my best friend and an incredible human.” She credited him for her success, saying, “Everything I could do is because of you. Thank you for trusting me.”
