Salman Khan upgrades security with Rs 2 crore bulletproof SUV after fresh death threat from Lawrence Bishnoi gang
PTC News Desk: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been under threat from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang for quite some time. He increased his security following the murder of NCP MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai, who was also a close friend of the actor. The superstar has reportedly imported another bulletproof SUV from Dubai to boost his security even more.
Salman has taken many security precautions as he continues to shoot the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episodes of 'Bigg Boss 18'. According to a report in Bollywood Society, he spent Rs 2 crore for a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV. The actor is reportedly importing the car from Dubai because it is not available in India. It is anticipated that a large sum will be paid to get the car to India quickly.
According to the car's online specifications, the SUV has various fresh safety features, including bomb alert indicators, thick glass shields to prevent point-blank bullet shots and camouflage black shades to conceal the driver or passenger.
Salman bought and imported another bulletproof car from the UAE last year, when he and his father, Salim Khan, received murder threats from the Bishnoi gang for the first time.
Salman is on Lawrence Bishnoi's hit list since he hunted a blackbuck, a deer species revered by the Bishnoi community. The group has threatened him with murder until he apologises for the case. He has been under tight protection due to multiple threats from the gangster, who is currently serving time in prison.
In a new threat, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a message from the gang demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman in exchange for being 'forgiven' by Bishnoi. The message also stated that if he does not pay the money, his situation will be 'worse than Baba Siddique', who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024.
