Shah Rukh Khan makes historic debut at Met Gala 2025, but foreign media fails to recognise him
PTC Web Desk: Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most iconic figures in Indian cinema, made history as he became the first Indian male actor to walk the red carpet at the prestigious Met Gala. Photos and videos of his red carpet debut quickly went viral across social media platforms. A particular clip gained widespread attention where Shah Rukh is seen confidently introducing himself to the Western press, saying, “I’m Shah Rukh,” before sharing details about his attire and what the Met Gala represents. This interaction sparked debate online, with many fans expressing disappointment over the global media’s unfamiliarity with Khan.
One user commented, “Hopefully they go home and Google him and see how globally loved he really is,” while another added, “SRK deserved better international media coverage. No one can tell me otherwise.” A third noted, “Stars like SRK shouldn’t have to prove themselves on international carpets.”
