Veteran and renowned filmmaker Raj Kumar Kohli passes away at 93 due to cardiac arrest, leaves film industry in mourning
Raj Kumar Kohli no more: Renowned and veteran filmmaker Raj Kumar Kohli, actor Armaan Kohli's father passed away on Friday at the age of 93 due to cardiac arrest.
As per the reports, Raj Kumar Kohli went to shower on Friday morning and didn't come out for some time. Then his son Armaan broke down the door and discovered that his father had collapsed on the floor.
Born on September 14, 1930, Raj Kumar Kohli was known for his contributions to the Indian cinema, particularly in the action and thriller genres.
Raj Kumar Kohli was known for his films like 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahaani', 'Naagin', 'Badle Ki Aag' and 'Pati Patni aur Tawaif'.
Raj Kumar Kohli was also known for creating multi-starrer films that featured an ensemble cast of popular actors from the industry. "Jaani Dushman" (1979) is one such film that brought together several leading actors of that time.
Apart from directing, Kohli also ventured into film production. He produced several films under the banner Shankar Movies.
