Farmer-Centre still not able to resolve farm bill issue, further discussion on Jan 4

The farmers’ agitation for repeal of three agriculture laws introduced by the Union government has entered its 35th day today. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other states are protesting at various borders in Delhi in the bitter cold and demanding repeal of these laws. This is the sixth round of meeting between the farmers and Centre as the previous five meetings remained inconclusive. Another meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah also remained inconclusive. Farmers Protest in Delhi against the Central Government's Farmers laws 2020 In today's meeting, the Farmers' Leaders demanded justice and compensation for the families of the farmers who died in the protest. The Union Leaders were seen with farmers having langar. And later Farmers' leaders joined the Centre for tea. Centre has reportedly conceded two of major ordinances of agitating farmers. Centre has agreed not to push electricity bill and farmers will be excluded from the proposed environment and pollution control bill. The seventh-round of meeting to discuss the same will be on Jan 4th at 2 pm.
