Farmer dies of 'heart attack' at Singhu border
A farmer from Khanpur Kalan in Sonipat, Haryana, was found dead in his tent at the Singhu border on Wednesday. It is being suspected that he died of a heart attack.
The deceased, Manoj Sharma of Khanpur Kalan in Sonipat, Haryana, was specially abled. He had bene camping at the Singhu border for the last two months and had been living in a tent near the office of BKU activist Gurnam Singh Charuni.

He was found dead by fellow farmers. They called a doctor, who declared him dead. The matter was reported to the Kundli police.

The Kundli SHO, Ravi Kumar, said the body was handed over to his kin after the post-mortem examination. Prima facie, heart attack seems to be the reason behind the farmer’s death.
Farmers from Haryana, Punjab and UP had been camping at the Delhi borders since November 26, 2019, demanding the repeal of the Central farm laws. They say they would not go back home till the farm laws are repealed.
Farmers have erected tents and even built pucca structures at some places and say they are ready for a long haul, though the Haryana Government has formed a panel to hold talks with the Samyukt Kisan Morcha to allow passage to commuters.
