Farmers start Marching towards Parliament from Ramlila Maidan

Thousands of farmers from across the country who were camping at the Ramlila ground have started their march towards Parliament on Friday. They would address their issues and demands including remunerative prices for their produce and debt relief.

More than 3,500 policemen have been deployed for this protest. Farmers under the banner of All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) have kept pouring into the city. The march started from Ramlila Maidan to Parliament at 10:30 am. Police has made all special arrangements in Central and New Delhi police districts.

Farmers from various parts of the country including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nady, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh assemble at the Ramlila ground on Thursday.

On Thursday, traffic in various areas of Delhi was disrupted as the farmers marched to the Ramlila ground on four different routes.

All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee is an umbrella body of 208 farmers’ and agricultural workers’ organizations.
