Chandigarh, August 22: In what may points towards fissures in Punjab unit of the Congress, Partap Singh Bajwa was reportedly denied entry to Congress Bhawan on Monday. Policemen deployed at the gate did not allow his car to enter Congress Bhawan. Notably, the Congress had planned a protest against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Monday and party leaders, as per the plan, were supposed to gherao the Vigilance office. PPCC president Raja Warring and Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa were also part of the protest. The Congress is opposing a corruption case against former Congress minister and Bharat Bhushan Ashu in a tender scam. The Congress has accused the AAP-led Punjab Government of indulging in "political revenge". Fissures in Punjab Congress? When MLA Partap Singh Bajwa's car was not allowed to enter Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh, he returned dejected. Partap Singh Bajwa is the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. When Raja Warring was apprised of the situation, he reportedly got angry on police personnel deployed at Congress Bhawan. Fissures in Punjab Congress? MLA Partap Bajwa 'denied' entry to Congress Bhawan Sources said when the Congress MLA's car reached the Congress building, police personnel deployed at the entrance did not open the gate despite repeated requests. During this time, some vehicles were already parked inside. Policemen said "the gate is broken". Bajwa got down from the car and went inside, but after a while left the place. Guilty policemen, if needed, will be removed from duty here," Raja Warring was quoted as saying.
