Former Attorney General of India, Soli Sorabjee, passes away at age of 91
Soli Sorabjee Death: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal and former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday extended condolences to the family of the former Attorney General of India who passed away at the age of 91 years.
Sukhbir Singh Badal took to Twitter and wrote: "India has lost one of its finest legal luminaries in the passing away of former Attorney General of India Soli J Sorabjee post-COVID-19. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family."

Likewise, Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted: "Demise of the great champion of freedom of speech, former Attorney General of India Soli J Sorabjee, is indeed a great loss to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family."

President of India Ram Nath Kovind said in a tweet: "In the passing of Soli Sorabji, we lost an icon of India's legal system. He was among a select few who deeply influenced the evolution of the constitutional law and justice system. Awarded with Padma Vibhushan, he was among the most eminent jurists. Condolences to his family and associates."
"Soli Sorabjee was an outstanding lawyer and intellectual. Through the law, he was at the forefront of helping the poor and downtrodden. He will be remembered for his noteworthy tenures as India’s Attorney General. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers," said PM Modi on Soli Sorabjee's death.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Anguished to learn about the passing away of Shri Soli Sorabjee, a noted jurist and former Attorney General of India. Sorabjee was a doyen of the legal fraternity, who will always be remembered for his contribution to the field of constitutional law. My condolences to his family."
