Gang of wire and transformer thieves busted; 10 arrested The Uttar Pradesh police has busted a gang of wire and transformer thieves on Sunday. The police has arrested 10 people on charges of stealing electricity wires and transformers at Gujjar Garhi village in Uttar Pradesh. Acting on the tip-off, the police arrested 10 people and recovered aluminium and copper wires from their possession. Police also recovered Rs 26,000 cash, a 12 bore gun, 2 country-made pistols, live cartridges, 7 knives, 11 mobile phones and a bag of tools used to dismantle transformers, from their possession.
