Govt. extends the earlier guidelines for COVID19 surveillance

The COVID cases still do not seem to be at halt. According to the government, there is a need to maintain surveillance, containment & caution, keeping in view the surge in cases globally.

The Government is keeping a regular check and new guidelines in terms of containment zones, compulsory wearing of masks, and curfews keep changing.

In a recent development, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) extends the earlier guidelines for COVID19 surveillance to remain in force up to 31st January 2021.

Ministry of Home Affairs said containment zones to continue to be demarcated carefully; prescribed containment measures strictly followed within these zones; COVID19-appropriate behavior promoted and strictly enforced.

Ministry of Home Affairs said, "While there has been a continuous decline in the active & new COVID19 cases, there is need to maintain surveillance, containment & caution, keeping in view the surge in cases globally, and the emergence of a new variant of the virus in the United Kingdom."
