How many sacrifices will farmers have to make to get farm laws repealed, asks Rahul Gandhi
Farmers protest: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday cited a media report claiming that 11 farmers died in the last 17 days amid protest against the farm laws 2020.
Even as Rahul Gandhi asked how many more sacrifices will farmers have to make to get the farm laws 2020 repealed.
At least five rounds of talks have been held between the Central government and the farmers' representatives, but the deadlock continued as farmers demand the repeal of the three contentious laws while the Centre tries to convince them for amendments.

"How many more sacrifices will the farmers have to make to get the farm laws repealed?" Rahul Gandhi asked in a tweet in Hindi. He tagged a media report that claimed that 11 farmers had died in the past 17 days during protest due to various reasons like ill health or a mishap.
Meanwhile, the Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that despite "martyrdom of 11 farmers in the last 17 days, the Modi government is not relenting".

"They (GoI) are still standing with their 'money providers' not with 'annadaatas'," he said in a tweet in Hindi.
"The nation wants to know -- 'Is Rajdharma (constitutional responsibility) bigger or Rajhat' (stubbornness)?" Surjewala asked.
The farmers from across the nation are protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020; Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020.
