India Covid update: 1,259 fresh infections, active caseload declines to 15,378

New Delhi, March 29: India logged 1,259 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the latest update issued by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.

Following a continuous downward trend, as per the Ministry, India's active caseload has declined to 15,378 on Tuesday. It constitutes 0.04 per cent of India's total positive Covid-19 cases, as per the recent update on the current situation. The weekly positivity rate in India currently stands at 0.25 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.22 per cent.

In the last 24 hours, 1,705 patients have recovered from the virus, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic to 4,24,85,534. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.75 per cent.
