Indian Women employees apprehend promotion better: Study

On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022, a recent study by global report reveals that Women in India lead the world in receiving growth opportunities in the workplace and feel ready to take on more responsibility within the company. According to the survey, 90 percent of Indian women, among other countries, took the lead in applying for a promotion, compared to only 67 percent of men. However, the study revealed that when it came to seeking promotion, Indian women were looking for more than simply a pay boost. They also wanted to acquire greater influence in their organization by taking on more responsibility (38%) and being a part of broader choices that have an impact on the company (37 per cent). Findings reveal that 71% of Indian women respondents strongly believe that gender discrimination is also comabatting in various workplaces. "We are happy to see how more women are aspiring to take on leadership positions in India, coupled with the efforts made by corporations to create an inclusive environment that enables everyone to do their best work," said Ketan Patel, Managing Director - HP India Market, in a statement. Moreover the percentage of women in IT industry has risen over a decade with rising in new opportunities for women. 44% of women has been ranked to professional opportunities and nearly 1 in 2 women has been encouraged for leadership roles , encouragement and high tech job affairs.
