Indian worker in UAE arrested for molesting school girl
An Indian construction worker in UAE was arrested by the police for molesting a school girl on Thursday. A 32-year-old Indian man is now facing trial for allegedly groping a 14-year-old school girl at a metro station in Dubai last year.

When the trial began the accused denied the molestation charge at the court. He claimed that he touched her by mistake. During the public prosecution investigation, the victim said she was busy putting cash in her bag when she was caught off guard by the accused. According to her statement, the accused did it all on purpose. The girl immediately reported him to the metro ticketing employee.

The metro ticketing officer approached the accused (who was drunk at that time) and questioned him there. He admitted that he sexually harassed her. The officer immediately took him to the Dubai police station.

The CCTV footage has been recovered from the metro station. It has captured the accused getting very close to the girl and groping her. A fine of Dh 2,000 (Rs 38, 659) has been imposed on the accused of consuming alcohol without a permit. The quantum of punishment will be given on February 13.
