Instagram now lets users buy products via DMs
Washington (US), July 19: Instagram has announced a new update available that enables its users to directly shop from conversations.
As per a report by GSM Arena, when a user makes a purchase from a "qualified small company," their orders will be confirmed, payment requests will be made, and money will be collected all through the chat interface.
Your orders, shipment details, and tracking information are all kept in the same place, along with the company's responses to your questions and any other interaction you may have had with them.
According to Meta, the parent company of Instagram, one billion messages are sent to companies every week. A new feature was developed as a result of this and Instagram's desire for your interactions with your preferred businesses to go as smoothly as possible.

As per the official press release, in a hypothetical situation in which you are interested in a bag, contact the company that makes it through Instagram DM, speak with them about adjustments, and then complete your order right there in the conversation once you are pleased.
After that, you can track your order and ask the company any more questions you can have in the same chat. To finalise purchases, utilise Meta Pay, GSM Arena reported.
With the help of this new feature, small businesses can interact with customers in real-time, answer questions, confirm order details, submit payment requests with item descriptions and prices, and then receive payments directly from customers using Direct Messages.
