Shiromani Akali Dal's Iqbal Singh Jhundan who contested the Punjab Assembly elections 2022 from the Amargarh constituency. He also served as a member of the legislative assembly in Punjab from Dhuri (2007-2012) and Amargarh (2012-2017). However, he lost the battle as he bagged only 26068 votes .
