It's girls all the way! Haryana bride rides horse to groom’s house
It's girls all the way. A bride from Haryana's Ambala adopted the role of groom and rode a horse with a sword in her hand to the groom’s house as ‘Baraati’.
The visuals of a bride named Priya accompanied by her father, Narinder Aggarwal, mother, and other relatives in Baraat to the groom’s house went viral on social media.

According to the Indian culture, the groom adopts the culture of Baraat with a sword in his hand and rides on a horse to the bride’s house but Priya highlighted gender equality. She exploded the myth that girls were inferior to boys by doing this gesture.
According to the sources, Priya said that "I am extremely happy. This occasion usually comes in the life of boys. But in our house, my parents have raised me like a boy."
She also said that her father has always been her true friend and companion as he was the one who encouraged her to pursue law, even when many in the family were against it.
Similar incidents have been reported earlier as well. In several weddings, the girls are taking charge and challenging the social norms 'meant only' for women.
