Farmers Protest against farm laws: Amid tension at Delhi borders, the farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal on Saturday said that it was people led agitation, the longest one and peaceful one.
While addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Balbir Singh Rajewal said that locals are supporting farmers. He also alleged that those protesting against farmers, who claims to be local, are sent by the government only.
He further announced that the farmers' organisations were planning to honour farmer leader Rakesh Tikait who controlled the situation wisely at the Ghazipur border while police was trying to remove them.
Ever since then, there has been tension at Delhi borders as a group of people claiming to be locals are trying to instigate farmers by demanding to remove them from the sites.
Even as he said that they (farmer leaders) will respond to the notices but the government has already taken action against them.
He also claimed that the government has cut Internet, water supply, and electricity.
