Jakhar Has Formally Turned Congress Office Into Punjab Govt Sub Office : SAD The Shiromani Akali Dal lashed out at the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr. Sunil Jakhar for appointing General Secretary to hear public grievances in the party office and said that Mr. Jakhar has completed the formality to turn party office into sub office of the Punjab Government. In a statement issued, the SAD National Spokesman Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said it is surprising to see that Congress party has made official announcement of "appointment of General Secretaries of the Congress party to hear grievances of the common people and genuine issues will be sorted out on the spot.". He said that from day one presence of Mr. Jakhar himself in the official government meetings was reported by the media as no one apart from Government officials are authorized to be present in such meetings. He said that after that Mr. Jakhar made Punjab Congress Office unofficial sub office of the government in which major government decision were taken during these one and a half year of the government. Mr. Sirsa said that now Mr. Jakhar has completed the formality to designate this party office as a Sub Office of the Government by announcing to designate party General Secretaries to hear public grievances. He asked Mr. Jakhar to specify in which capacity will these General Secretaries issue directions to the government officials to solve the problems of the people ? For this purpose governments always authorizes its officials or Ministers are designated to hear these problems of people. But by nominating its General Secretaries to perform the job of the Government the Congress party has demolished the institution which are in place according to the Constitution of the country. He said that as such act of Mr. Jakhar amount to subverting the Constitutional mandate and openly allow leaders of the ruling political party to take law in their own hands and do whatever they like. He said that infact this action of Mr. Jakhar has also given a deadly blow to the rights MLAs who are elected representative of the people to hear grievances of the people and solve problems. He said that people of the state are already watching the anti democratic acts of this government and they are waiting for an opportunity in the form of Lok Sabha elections where they will teach this government for these unconstitutional acts.
