
Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri encounter: A junior commissioned officer (JCO) and four soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred on Monday during a counter-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector in the Pir Panjal ranges, said the sources on Monday.
"A junior commissioned officer (JCO) and four soldiers of Indian Army killed in action during a counter-terrorist operation in the Rajouri sector in the Pir Panjal ranges," sources said.

Prior to the Rajouri encounter, the Indian Army launched a cordon and search operation in villages close to DKG in Surankote jurisdiction of Poonch district on Monday morning.

Terrorist killed in Bandipora encounter
A terrorist involved in a recent civilian killing at Shahgund has been killed in the ongoing operation in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar informed that the terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT (TRF).
"Killed #terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar affiliated with proscribed #terror outfit LeT (TRF). He was involved in a recent civilian killing at Shahgund Bandipora," tweeted Kashmir Zone Police.
