UGC NET 2024: Exam postponed, check new date here
UGC NET 2024: The NTA has postponed the examination dates for the UGC-NET 2024 to June 18. The exam was originally scheduled to take place on June 16, 2024. This decision was made after considering the feedback received from candidates.
The development has been confirmed by UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar.
Taking to social media platform X, the UGC Chairman stated that the decision was made after considering candidate feedback. An official notification will be issued in this regard.
“The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from 16 June (Sunday) to 18 June 2024 (Tuesday) because of feedback received from candidates. NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification," he stated.
Notably, the UGC-NET exam will only be conducted in OMR mode, with question papers in English and Hindi, with the exception of language papers.
Furthermore, the test will be divided into two papers, each with objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no breaks between papers. Each paper has a 3-hour exam duration.
