Joe Biden announces all adults in US eligible for Covid-19 vaccine by April 19
Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination in the US: The US President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced that all adults across the United States of America will be eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine within two weeks.
Meanwhile, the economic powerhouse California has set June 15 as a target to fully reopen businesses.

The US has reported the most coronavirus deaths of any country. However, the nation is leading the vaccine rollout.
In his White House speech, Joe Biden announced that he was moving up the deadline for all over 18 to be eligible for COVID-19 vaccines to April 19 while the previous target was May 1.

"We are moving the date up from May 1 to April 19, nationwide. By no later than April 19, every adult aged 18 years and above will be eligible to be vaccinated. No more confusing rules. No more confusing restrictions," Biden said.
Adding, he said that the US crossed 150 million shots on Monday and was on its way to hitting the goal of 200 million shots by his 100th day in office.
"We are administering an average of 3 million shots per day over 20 million shots a week," he said on coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination in the US.
He said that "We are the first country to administer 150 million shots and fully vaccinate 62 million people. More than 75 percent of people over 65 yrs of age have got shots, up from 8 percent when we took office."
"That's a dramatic turnaround and critical as seniors account for 80 percent of all COVID deaths." said the US President.
