Mohali (Punjab): The Kapurthala police have arrested Amarjit Singh (55), manager/caretaker of the gurdwara at Nizampur Mor here, for the killing of a youth, who was accused of sacrilege bid. As many as 100 unidentified persons have also been booked. The video of the youth being beaten up by a mob was widely shared on social media. He had said an FIR would be filed. The post-mortem report of the youth revealed that he sustained 30 injuries, mostly inflicted by swords. The deceased remains unidentified. IG Gurinder Singh Dhillon said, "Amarjit Singh, manager of the Nizampur gurdwara, has been arrested. As many as 100 unidentified persons have also been booked for the killing of the youth. The remaining persons, including 25 to 30 armed persons, remain are unidentified."
