Kartarpur Sahib Corridor: Imran Khan lays the foundation
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Dera Baba Nanak-Karatarpur Sahib road corridor today (November 28). Meanwhile, Indian minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal performed Sikh rituals at the event site.

The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will facilitate visa-free movement of Indian Sikh pilgrims.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Gobind Singh Longowal along with other SGPC members was also present at the ceremony. Navjot Singh Sidhu has also crossed over to Pakistan through the Wagah border to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
Also, PTC network will telecast live the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor from Pakistan.

Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for the construction of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on November 26. It will link Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district with Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan. This corridor will allow lakhs of Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit the holy shrine throughout the year.

On November 22, India’s Union Cabinet took the decision to build the corridor from Dera Baba Nanak to the International Border. On the very same day, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, also announced that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, would also lay the foundation of Kartarpur corridor on November 28.
