Lakhbir Singh Lodhi Nangal unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections from Fatehgarh Churian as SAD candidate.
Lakhbir Singh also contested the 2012 elections from Batala, but lost to Ashwani Sekhri. In the 2017 elections, he had contested from Batala and had won the elections.
