Nanded violence: Police denies permission for Hola Mohalla procession, violence erupts
Nanded Gurudwara Attack: After being denied permission to hold Hola Mohalla procession in the wake of the coronavirus situation, a huge mob resorted to violence in Maharashtra’s Nanded on Monday.
It is pertinent to mention that Sikhs celebrate Hola Mohalla around the time of Holi every year. They display their martial skills during the festival.

According to the information, the police has detained 17 people, who were allegedly part of a huge mob, that resorted to violence after being denied permission to take out the Hola Mohalla procession in Nanded in the wake of coronavirus restrictions.
On the occasion of Holi, hundreds of Sikhs gathered at the Gurdwara for Hola Mohalla. They were denied permission by the police. The violence took place at around 4 pm when the police tried to disperse the crowd.

The video of the attack on Nanded Gurudwara went viral on social media in no time. A huge mob outside the Gurudwara can be seen kicking away the barricades set up by the police.
According to a senior Maharashtra police officer, four policemen suffered injuries in the incident however all of them are out of danger.
Meanwhile, Nanded Range DIG Nisar Tamboli said that an FIR would be registered against at least 200 people under sections 307, 324, 188, 269 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and those involved in Nanded violence would be arrested.
