New Delhi, June 2: A special MP-MLA court will hear the supplementary charge sheet filed against Congress Leader Jagdish Tytler in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

On May 20, the CBI filed the charge sheet in Rouse Avenue Court. This case is linked to the November 1, 1984, killings of three people in the Pul Bangash area.

The supplementary charge and sanction for prosecution were taken on record by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Mahima Rai Singh.

Following that, the CMM referred the case to ACMM Vidhi Anand Gupta's court matter is related to a former MP.

The case will be heard in court on June 8.

On May 20, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a charge sheet against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in a case relating to anti-Sikh riots in 1984, following the killing of India's then-prime minister on October 31, 1984.

The CBI stated in a statement that the case was registered in November 2005 after Gurudwara Pul Bangash at Azad Market, Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi was set on fire by a mob and three people, Sardar Thakur Singh, Badal Singh, and Gurcharan Singh, were burnt to death on 1 November 1984 near Gurudwara Pul Bangash.

The Government of India established the Justice Nanavati Commission of Inquiry in the year 2000 to investigate the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi.

After reviewing the report of the Commission, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India) directed the CBI to probe the case against the then-member of Parliament and others.

During the CBI investigation, evidence came to light that on November 1, 1984, the accused allegedly instigated, incited, and provoked the mob gathered at Gurudwara Pul Bangash in Azad Market, Delhi, resulting in the burning of Gurudwara Pul Bangash and the killing of three Sikhs by the mob, in addition to the burning and looting of shops.
