3 Bengaluru hotels receive bomb threat emails; bomb disposal, detection teams on site
PTC Web Desk: Three well-known hotels in Bengaluru, including The Oterra, received bomb threats via email, said DCP South East Bengaluru on Thursday. According to the authority, bomb disposal and detection teams have been deployed at the scene.
This comes a day after North Block, which houses the Ministry of Home Affairs, received a bomb threat email. The threat later turned out to be a hoax.
Further details are awaited.
Earlier in April, bomb threat emails were sent to several schools in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengaluru, causing panic. All of these threats were found to be hoaxes.
The Delhi High Court requested a full report on these instances. In response, the Delhi Police issued a report on May 17 showing the deployment of five bomb disposal squads and 18 bomb detection teams throughout the city.
