4-year-old electrocuted to death while trying to open refrigerator in supermarket
PTC News Desk: A four-year-old girl was electrocuted to death while trying to unlock the refrigerator for chocolate at N supermarket in Telangana's Nizamabad. The tragic incident was caught on camera.
Rajasekhar, the child's father, went grocery shopping with his daughter Rushita (4) at N supermarket.
In the CCTV footage, the girl can be seen trying to open the fridge when she was electrocuted and remained stuck to the appliance.
The father of the child is seen accompanying her to the supermarket in the video which has now gone viral. The father becomes preoccupied with looking for something in the fridge on the left side of the video. Meanwhile, the girl is seen struggling to unlock the fridge on the right side, and she is electrocuted and shown dangling while still holding the appliance's handle.
Unaware of what's going on around him, the child's father gets whatever he needs from the fridge and closes it behind him before walking past the child. He drops whatever he is holding and grabs the girl in his arms as soon as he realizes what has happened.
According to reports, the girl died on the spot.
